The Florida 4-H Youth Development Program uses a learn-by-doing approach and caring adults to help youth gain the knowledge and life skills they need to be productive, responsible citizens.

To achieve its mission, 4-H accesses the expertise and resources of the University of Florida and a nationwide network of Cooperative Extension Service faculty and staff.

Ready to Join 4-H?

  1. Review the list of 4-H Clubs below. Please note - some clubs have age restrictions. 

  2. Go to 4honline and enroll/re-enroll in Holmes County 4-H.

  3. Select a 4-H Club and a 4-H project (see list below). 

  4. Pay the $20 Florida 4-H Membership Fee online.

  5. After you enroll, your club leader will contact you about meeting times.

  6. At your first meeting in September, pay club dues (if club has dues). Club dues are separate from the membership fee and help buy club supplies.

    Holmes County 4-H Membership Policy

    • Youth must be 5-18 years old.

    • Youth must live in Holmes County and/or attend public, private, or home school in Holmes County. 

    • Out-of-county membership will be considered after September 1 on a case-by-case basis IF the membership cap for an individual club has not been exceeded. 

General Community Club -  Ages 5-18
All Holmes County 4-H members will enroll in this club, including Cloverbuds. Each meeting will feature a different hands-on topic chosen with input from our members. Members will also have opportunities to elect officers, learn parliamentary procedure, develop leadership skills, and explore new project areas.

As the year progresses, we will offer SPIN (Special Interest) Clubs for members who want to spend more time working on specific projects.

Raise baby chicks through laying age, learning nutrition, care, and showmanship.

The Foodies Club, led by Mrs. Amanda and Mrs. Leah, will continue this year and will include the 4-H Food Challenge Contest.
